(edit 17 minutes later) Nevermind, I talked myself out of trading this thing. I'm keeping it.

I wanted to see if there's any interest in someone trading me their shortbed black/tan softopper + cash for my RTT/bedbars.

    Tent details
    -Tepui Ayer 2
    -Anti condensation mat
    -Removable tepui insulation
    -Tepui boot bag

The only con for the tent is there are a couple of worn spots on the exterior cover but they haven't worn all the way through. That's what those couple of pieces of gorilla tape are on it. The wire you see in the picture is from a USB bank I have in the tent that is wired to the truck, I can leave it in.

Bed bar details (I can only assume the rear bars will line up with the middle set of bolts on a short bed but can't confirm as this was built off of a long bed)
-Homemade to keep the tent super low. Approximately 4" rise on them.
-hi lift mount integrated into the driver side
-Rear most bar drops down to bolt into the middle set of bed bolts. This provides extra strength and takes stress off of the bedsides.
-LED third brake light on the rear bar
-Four rock lights on the bottom of the bars

    What I want from you

Shortbed softopper in good condition with no tears, can be for second or third gen and $200 cash. I prefer black but would be open to tan. No grey.

I currently value my whole tent/bar/light setup at $800 and I value a used softopper in the $500-$600 range.

You just need to stop selling off your bed set ups and keep them in a rotation.

You're absolutely not wrong. When I got the RTT and was selling the softopper I was like "I bet I'll be back to a softopper, I should keep this."

Man, I took all of 17 minutes to convince myself that I want to keep my RTT. Kinda forgot I'm moving to AZ next year and a RTT will be invaluable with all the land to explore out there.

Yup! We're looking to do one or the other but we can't decide. Our current setup is a bed tent and a airbedz. I feel like the soft top would be better for storage.

It really all depends on usage. The softopper is fantastic for its dry storage and it’s versatility. The rtt is great for its ease of setup/take down and less shit to remember to pack when camping.

Overall I’d say I the softopper is more functional and versatile but the rtt fills a very specific need extremely well.

Shit you'll need to upgrade rigs to a rear steer buggy to do some of the crazy ravines out there. Jealous of that. AZ looks like a fun place to wheel. Eventually I'll make it out west hopefully sooner than later while there still is so much public land to wheel.

Damn moving to AZ?! There’s some great wheeling out there. I have lots of family in the Phoenix area and after visiting late last year I already want to go back.

That’s where I’ll be at, Phoenix area. Can’t wait!
