Hey guys, while tearing into my dash buttons, I found a free connector stuck into one of the button blanks on the upper left set of tall buttons.

It's in the right-most button position, so I assume it's the wiring for the OR model power inverter, but since my truck is an SR5 4X4, it was just left loose. My search skills might be a little rusty because I couldn't find anything confirming this assumption.

    Can anyone confirm? Thanks!

Position (a button blank was installed here):

I'd have to look at wiring diagrams but the inverter button is there on mine.

I think it is for the switch for the power inverter.
The one in the bed of the truck. I am guessing you’re truck doesn’t have that option?

I just looked, the wire colors look correct for the inverter.

That's what I'm thinking it's for because the connector/wiring is in the right position for the power inverter button. Mine is not an OR, so no power inverter/outlet.

Just looking for confirmation that my assumption is correct. Thanks for the input.

I'll take a look at the wiring diagram as well.

Question on this topic - does the inverter wiring exist on all trucks? i.e. dealer installed option and you just need the various parts?

Checked the WD, can confirm that the colors match up:

So does the connector type (6-pos, with 5 populated), connector M2:

I think that's enough to call it confirmed. Thanks guys.

I'm unsure about all models, but it appears to be the case for mine—2015 DCLB SR5 4X4.

I actually asked a similar question a while back when I found the side of the wiring that would plug into the inverter itself if I had one: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-is-this-connector-near-the-shifter-for.692872/

It looks like the wiring is all there in between the switch, computers, and inverter. But, the wiring that would be there from the inverter to the rear outlet does not look like it is installed, at least on my truck.
