Can someone explain how the factory ride is kept completely unaffected as claimed by the sellers of the top strut spacers (leveling kits). I know that other types of leveling kits require the coils to be compressed, thus causing a compromised suspension. But I guess what I'm asking is, if it's really that simple, why isn't this a much more popular lift option at ~$100. What are the drawbacks to this?

Thank you, I knew there had to be more to it. I'm assuming buying longer shocks would remedy that?
However, at that point I guess you start getting into the price ranges of pre-assembled kits huh?

Drawbacks are many. Only positive is it makes your truck look cooler and gives you some ground clearance.

Cheap, lifted, rides well on and off road. Pick 2.

Edit: only pick the 2nd two lol.

Yes. The bilstein 5100 kit on stock spring you can compress to 2nd perch and still keep a decent ride. Will be a little stiff, but solid. Then and add a leaf for the rear end.
