recent order of TRD PRO Grille with Camera?

I put in an order for part number PT22835200AA last night. But woke up to the following email:

Anyone have a successful experience getting one shipped?

I know you need a VIN for the AA part number.
The grill for TRD lift ends in 20, not sure why the parts mgr said the lift was needed to order.

 

I provided a TRD Pro vin with my order. I was told that toyota just does not make enough and are only selling with the suspension. Seemed like an odd choice.

 

Have you tried to order from a different dealer?
Most dealers have free shipping

 

Get one from @Tacovinyl, same thing is just plastic.

 

You can buy from Toyota parts sites without restriction.

I just searched P/N PT22835200AA on ToyotaPartsDeal and it can be had there for ~$183 without proof of ownership.

TPD is what I used when buying 4Runner SEMA wheels because people had said dealerships were stingy with them unless you could prove owning a Pro with your VIN.

That said... I have a knockoff Pro grille from MCAutoParts and it does the job just fine for less money. (Plus you can customize the "TOYOTA" color, which is neat.)

 

I would love to, but they do not have the one with the camera cut out.

 

will try ordering from a different dealer and see if I have better luck.

thanks for that. I scanned the display picture and did not see camera. Automatically assumed not what I need
