Transmistion leak out of overflow plug

    Have the plug in. But its leaking out the plug it seems! On bottom of pan. Any ideas? And is the rear Differential supposed to be getting hot..was hot still after exhaust had cooled off

    The diff will get hot. It stays hot longer than the exhaust. Because the fluid just sits there and heat soaks the diff.

    As for the plug. It can be stripped easily.
    Did you do so the drain/refill? Or some one else.

    You have a few options

    1. Buy a new crush washer and see if that works.

    2. Put some thread sealer on the bolt and screw it back in.

    3. Replace the pan.
