something similar happened to me it was in the morning and engine temp was not all the way up. I punched it and it went into a limp in mode. Saying AT temp too high. That’s not possible. I pulled codes when I could and only saw random misfire codes. It has never happened since. The only thing I could think of that I did different was previously I checked my oil catcher. Maybe I didn’t tighten it all the way. During my inspection I did tighten it but it didnt really move. Whatever it was glad it’s never happened again.

what is the verdict? I emailed them about 2 wks ago to see if they have a revised 04B04 but have not heard back from them. What version did they send you?

EDIT 022222: got the revised 04B04 version - gonna load and test and see if there are any improvements from original release. Had to use the Support access to get them to respond and I also re-submitted the calibration files.

Would the guys that can do OV tunes be able to do it? I have the file. I have a guy locally that did my OV tune previously.

Yeah. Anyone with vF tuner can flash the file.

I'm having the same issue as Satly Patriot408. Finished the install and went to flash the ECU. ECU prepared and file loaded and ready to go but the "Calibrate ECU" button remains greyed out. Any ideas what to do?

??? maybe after program launch go to the "help" option and check for updates - proceed from there depending on results and then try to flash again. If all else fails go to the OVTune web page and VFTuner and contact them via the ZenDesk (include all data Magnuson Provided such as Master Key, ECU ID, ...). Also be sure you have selected the "vfc" and not "vft" option down in the bottom of the Flash screen.

There was a mandatory update to 1.5.6 yesterday. Checking for update won't work either, have to download and install the full version

think he is the "lite" flash only version - but I don't know anything about that version which Magnuson provides. Did not know there was a mandatory revision yesterday - I just updated to 1.5.? Sunday. Guess I better get on it!

looks like the answer is to go to the OVT web page and do the complete download as the server will not connect to the old versions of the software now.

OK. Tried downloading from OVT. Something strange going on. Earlier today, the version they had on there was 1.5.6 something and about an hour ago it changed to 1.5.7.22222. Problem I seem to be having after downloading both of them, there is no .exe file to execute the launch of the program. Hate to say it but I can't get it up. I'm not sure if it is my issue or something with them.

    There’s no exe in

    c:\program files (x86)\vF tuner ?

if that’s the case, AV probably blocked / quarantined it

Wife just put first tank of gas in post SC install and used 87. I’m in VT and she’s in NJ. How bad is this?

If she drives like a grandma it will be fine as is. Under normal driving it’s pretty easy to avoid getting into boost with easy pedal.

I once did that with a supercharged VW VR6 on a cross country drive. That was back in the day when every pump had three different nozzles for the fuel grades and they always were arranged left-to-right, low-to-high. I rolled up late and tired and just grabbed the furthest right nozzle, filled the tank from nearly empty and noticed it said 85 when I put it back. Made for some really slow driving up the hills until I burnt enough gas to refill with premium.
