What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

There isn't a specific tune for it, right, but I believe the OVTune has an option where if you make your own config, you can set the charge voltage. Don't quote me on that, it is something I read a while back, so I might be wrong.

 

Just don't try to charge them quickly....as you obviously know with your trickle charging.......

 

You are correct but the Magnuson tune is locked so that can’t be changed. @mZiggy is working on a better solution.

I’ve got 285/70/17’s (32.9”) tires wheels with -12 offset rub free and no need to do a cab mount chop. I did do some minor trimming of the wheel liner and front bumper clip to be able to shift the front of the liner forward by a bolt hole. You can see the mod on my build thread in my signature.

 

Congratulations man! You are gonna love how capable your new rig is! Don’t forget, the owners manual suggests using the four wheel drive system 10 miles a month to keep everything lubricated and in good working order.

 

What type of trickle charger do you have?

Today, I sold my Tacoma for what I paid for it 4 years and 84000 miles ago and got to take home my new 2021 F150 Supercrew 2.7L 4x4 XL STX. My kids already love the new truck (“Freakin’ Shit Cool Dad!” Quoting my 6 year old) and the Tacoma’s new owner is happy with his purchase too.

Theoretically...

I've had plenty of ppl with annoying (not necessarily high beam) headlights decide to cruise in my blind spot for long periods so I'm very into the tint. Blinkers don't hurt either! Thanks for putting these on my radar @Impoy47

I just ordered some Pro Comp wheels from 4Wheel Parts. They have a -12 offset with 4” backspace (these are buy 3 get one free BTW, I’m frugal like that ). They should definitely put the wheels out far enough to accommodate 33’s or 34’s without touching the UCA. I’m planning on upgrading the UCA’s before going with bigger tires (currently running 265/75/r16 KO2’s).

 

I'm kind of planning on running the stock size. If I can up-size I will. No planned lift, I daily this thing. I do occasionally hit some light trails. I know I can get away with what the truck has. I can tell you those goofy Toyo A300s did a lot better on ice than my buddies T4R with the stock Bridgestones. I also didn't use the 4wd on the way in, had to on the way out, got stupid with the throttle.

Yeah... I don't turn off my headlights even during the day, so I'm not gonna turn them off every time I throw it in reverse. I'd rather spend a couple bucks on some plastic covers from a community member or cut up some duct tape to fix a design flaw.
