Ok, this really sucks because I just bought it from a dealership in March.

The first Noise, I noticed about 2 weeks after I bought it, I started hearing a slight whistling sound which of course I assumed was the serpentine belt slipping and just needed the tension tightened or a belt replacement, simple right, lol If only life was that simple. Because shortly thereafter I noticed that when I pushed in the clutch and come to a stop at about 5 to 10 miles per hour all the way till I stop I started to notice a clattering noise a clattering noise like the sound of a 2 metal pipes rattling together. Then it took me about a month to notice this because I shift into neutral and I don't keep my hand on the shift or usually as I come to a stop however the one time that I did I noticed that I could feel the clattering of those metal parts that I hear from coming underneath the truck in the Shifter. Fast forward to today and now I can feel Slight Sensation in the clutch pedal when I push it to the floor of components Moving against each other. Before noticing the sensations and the clutch pedal when pressed to the floor, I believed that my problem was the pilot bearing and throw out bearing and possibly an input shaft replacement now I believe that The problem might be a bit more serious than that.

Any help would be appreciated because I definitely don't want to be just wasting time buying parts that I don't need and spending even more time replacing parts that don't need to be replaced

These trucks seem to have this problem as a common issue. I've been reading up and I don't think there really is a permanent fix. I just replaced my clutch less than 10k miles and it didn't take long for the noise to come back.

I reread and it sounds like you might have a issue with your shift lever. Is there alot of play? I have a b & m hurst shifter.

Between when I posted this and now I went ahead and remove the transmission and as I pulled it back from the engine the remains of the throwout bearing and the quilt tube which broke off at the base from the bellhousing, fell out.

As everyone here I'm sure knows that
2007 - 2013 X runner transmission does not have a bolt on throw out bearing guide Tube.

So I ordered a bolt on one of the same size And had a Welded to the bellhousing. What I didn't realize at the time was that this particular bolt on guidetube had a one and a 1/2 inch base.

I replaced the clutch, pressure plate And the clutch slave cylinder

I just got the transmission back in everything's put back together except for the drive shaft.

I started it up and and it will not go in the gear the clutch will not disengage And when I press the clutch pedal all the way down I hear and feel a grinding noise in the clutch pedal and that grinding is not the gears it's something in the clutch system.

I think I know what the problem is it's that 1/2 inch base that's all that guidetube is holding the throw out bearing too high and as I bolted the transmission down it depressed the pressure plate release fingers. Basically the throwout bearing has enough pressure on it to keep the clutching gaged engaged and off the fly wheel.

Is there any kind of adjustments that I can make to make it work or do I have to take the transmission back out and replace the guide tube With one that has a paper thin base on it which I have found online online that is the right size.

Any help is much appreciated my truck has been up on Jack Stands since July and I'd really Like to get it fixed..

    Thanks
