There is no single high beam adjuster, one adjuster for low and high beam

 

So looking down that channel I see something like a metal gear with shark like teeth
Just use a Phillips head to adjust..?

Depending on what size you use, you might have to unbolt the washer fluid container to access it on the passenger side if the socket is too long. or open ratchet but might not have a lot of room to rotate it or do a little at a time. idk, screw driver works best for me.

 

Yea, I wouldn't recommend a socket or an open-end wrench, for the reasons you describe. But a ratchet wrench works very well, though not everyones tool box may have a set of those.

 

For anybody waiting on orders from Wes Chap Toyota, I just got an email saying my parts are there but quite a few orders so it’s taking time to get them all out. I received a call the morning after I ordered about the VIN number and just told them that it was a modification and the VIN wouldn’t match. I also asked if they could ensure adequate packaging and they said they open all boxes and pad them with bubble wrap before shipping them. So fingers crossed they arrive without broken tabs.

well one came in. All tabs are in place, all be it no bubble wrap. Just waiting on the other one to be delivered Maybe tomorrow?

 

Can the lights be adjusted horizontally? When I cover one lens at a time, the beam patterns aren't symmetrical left to right

 

No. Are they mounted correctly at all four points?

 

Everything looks ok but I'm going to loosen all of the bolts and reset them tomorrow morning

 

Well Fed-Up is saying i get 1 tomorrow (sunday?!?) & the other on tuesday since it's in bates city, mo where ever that is. They left Wes Chap you would think at the same time but get split up... & better have bubble wrap... it's fun to pop while reading TW

 

No horizontal adjustment on these. The driver side is intentionally notched for oncoming traffic. Align the hot spot vertically per Stern’s article, use the brightest part of the beam which is higher and toward the midline.

 

So the cutoff should be a little lower at the far left on the driver's side?

 

Both of mine are out for delivery today. Fingers crossed no damages.

Anybody ever install Xpel or something similar on their headlights themselves? Any difficulties with the shape of the lights?

There is a slight notch on the driver side inherently built into the light where the beam cuts off if this is what you're talking about.

 

Yep, that's it. These LEDs are so much brighter I must not have noticed it with the halogens. Thanks for the info

 

Just got both lights in from FedEx. No broken tabs. Lights were packaged really well.

Now have to wait until next weekend to install.
