Received my new set of SR8’s the other day, decided today was the day.

This is my third set of SCS wheels, I’ve done the same to all of the sets. Prefer to leave them a little rough, that way if they get scratched up, an sos pad or a little sand paper will clean them up.

Perhaps a custom center cap or custom vinyl sticker to finish them up?

I don't see any knurled lip whatsoever. SCS claimed to have knurled lips on on their new wheels.

    What gives?

lol yeah dude I saw the photos but again the glare, shadows, and angles....what exactly are you looking at??? The knurling is supposed to be on the side but I can't see the side, not sure how you can?? I can sort of make out some dark lines that perhaps can be the knurling...maybe not??

But again, why not just wait till @5465 posts to see if he actually has the knurling or not. Not challenging you to a fight, not calling you stupid or blind, just saying lets see what OP says since he's still active (was on today)

I'm not challenging anyone here. That's not my intent. I'm genuinely curious. I'd be unhappy if I paid for product and got something other than advertised.

Of course now I'm wondering if these were indeed old stock or if SCS decided to crank a few sets out like this just to get the fulfillment? I'd really prefer the knurled feature. At least you got a set. :notsure:

I'm not sure how much I believe that the knurled difference makes a difference in performance, I wouldn't mind either one.

But what I absolutely do mind is that scs posted about the new feature in 9/2021 and it's now five months later and OP got un-knurled wheels. I'd want the feature, even if not a believer, because they advertised that it should be there.
