What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

That's what I was thinking. Before I signed papers at the dealership I asked a question about EVERY single item on the list. I'm sure I annoyed the salesman & finance guy, but so what? It's my money.

I even re-added up all the numbers while I was in the finance office. I annoying said "No offense, but I'm going to double check your numbers and work before I sign anything."

 

We bought in Jan 2019. We both have less than 30000 miles on each. We have done the regular services at every 5k miles. We were both told we would get free service for 2 years/25K miles. The last service she was told that would be the last free one. But she paid for the service plan. My understanding AT THE TIME was that oil changes and tire rotations were covered under the service plan AFTER the 2yr/25K was over. Maybe who ever told her that was her last free one didn’t know she had the service plan?? I don’t know. But she actually called Toyota and spoke with someone and they told her they would call her back. That was 2 weeks ago. On a side note the last time I had my truck serviced I was gonna ask them to change wiper blades. But the service people were not even talking to the customers after dropping the truck off. I was gonna ask them about it then but never got to talk with anyone.

 

I did ask the guy about everything And he explained it to me fully and I THOUGHT I understood what he was selling. And it sounded good at the time.

 

Completed footwell lights install. Went blue. Came out great!!

 

Closest thing I watched was videos from @ClassyTacos on YouTube. My wiring gets a little easier since I have an Auxbeam switch panel.

 

Installed @oostroma s 3rd gen dash top ram mount. Super easy to install, well made, and supports a local Canadian 10/10

As for a wiring harness, I just made my own with an inline fuse.

I will admit I'm guilty of something like this with not reading the fine print but it may still pay off in the long run. I got the exterior paint/interior upholstery 5 yr coverage which supposedly covers any fading or staining caused by ANYTHING for up to 5 years so they recommend you just do it once right before the end of the 5 years and get the truck touched up but I failed to read the part where you have to get the truck professionally detailed to prove that the stain/fading cannot be removed which isn't exactly cheap either.

I should have gotten the same size from 265/70/16 when I replaced the oe wheels. Will these rub at all on a stock suspension 2019 DCSB OR ?

Brought my buddy's driveshaft to get rebuilt. Shouldn't have been surprised, but hot damn the driveshaft out of a double cab long bed tundra is long

 

Same here, that was some heavy skid plate. Had to replace my catshield I had on when I would bring it into the city jungle rat infested catalytic thieves. I thought it could handle offroad as well but didn't hold up with all the impact and abuse it took. Getting ready for a death valley trip so I decided to replace it with RCI too.. Had help with this truck lift jack. Comes in handy on the trails and other stuff around the house.

 

Heck, I even used my recovery strap and hi-lift for my pondless waterfall project!

 

Put in Kicker tweeters and put on RekGen mud flaps. The newer RekGens are not as dark black and have a smoother texture compared to the ones that were on my 2018 Tacoma. I like the older ones better.

 

I'm to tired to do shit today. These two were up all night arguing over "who's the best tacoma".. just fucking stop it already.. As your dad, I fucking love you both equally!
