Definitely agree with being financially prudent. I'm lucky enough to be able to do all the upgrades, fund the 401K, savings account and my portfolio on top of fixing up the truck.

Happy wife is a happy life for sure......lol

Uh, 600 for tires, 12 bucks for TOYOTA tailgate logo, and 40 bucks for fluid film, its a stock truck so I may get some better shocks. That's all I really need or care about. But that's just me. Toyota simple and reliable. My dad put the least amout of money in his 97 4cyl Tacoma and it lasted 400,000 miles before the abuse and neglect of the interior and frame got the best of it. Steering wheel fell apart and the bench seat is basically foam. He barely changed the damn oil. Truck still runs fine.

Between a camper shell, Yakima rack, better tires, and a lot of little things like chrome delete, Sprint Booster, bed mat, etc... I’ve spent about $6K after the fact. But with all this inflation, my truck’s probably worth $6K more than I paid for it new last year, so I’ll justify my upgrades as sort of being free!

If we count my extras as being purchased with my 2016, and restart the counter for my 2021 then I've spent nothing  Otherwise we're looking at about $6800 CAD for a canopy and three sets of tires (Nokian Hakka R3s. Happy with their performance, wanted something tougher for winter wheeling. Went to General Grabber Arctic LTs. Summer set is Cooper ST MAXX 255/85R16 x5)

So now that we made it past Black Friday, what kind of things did everyone purchase to add to their trucks? :spending:

I ordered the rest of the Diode Dynamic suite of lights for my truck. Front/rear Amber turn signals, reverse bulbs, license plate, dome light, map lights, led flasher relay(backordered). I already have DD indicator lights and SS3 yellow pods from Black Friday last year.

Crazy thing is that my wife gave me her credit card to buy the new stuff . WHOAAA! :woot::D:eek::rasta:
I guess the Wet Okele seats in installed in May with back and seat heaters hit a nice warm :bananadead: sweet spot with her this winter.:bananadance::yes:

Sitting around $3,800 not including options installed by the dealer when we purchased. But I wrapped those into financing so they don't count... right? ;)

I'm right around $4k and still need to order a Softopper and 255/85/16 tires for a truck that's not even allocated yet.....

I'll also be taking a few things off the Tundra to swap over, like lights and Spod.

    I'll update this...
OEM TRD Pro Led Headlights $1253.04
    Headlight conversion harness $85
    SS3 Max yellow fogs $459
    V5 Switchbacks w/ harness $177
Meso dual color map/dome lights $110

About $2300. I'm still thinking about a tonneau cover, ray 10's if they ever come back in stock, a small stereo upgrade, and maybe a trd catback exhaust, but we'll see. Now that my truck is 5 years old, I'd rather not sink much more into it.
