    There was a video on yesterdays news. Dash cam on a troopers car shows sheet of ice fly off a minivan roof, split in two & one of the 1/2's smash on the hwy just in front of the trooper. They said the driver got a ticket for (IIRC) $125

    yeah, my vehicle is always completely cleared before I drive it.

    This. I hate even talking on the phone when I drive and would never have done it without Bluetooth. Even at that I limit the use to incoming calls and brief things.

    Or especially at night when you see the goddamn light of the screen.

    Are you sure the police aren't on their laptops?

    I would have been giving that mini driver one hell of an ass beating.

    A trooper in Illinois crossed the median and hit a car head on killing two teenaged girls. He was on his cellphone talking to his girlfriend...while doing 126 mph. And wanted worker' s compensation for his injuries.

    The State paid the settlement. He pled guilty to negligent homicide and reckless driving and got 30 months probation. And during the two years he was suspended until he was fired he received his full salary.
