Just picked up a 2005 SR5 Access Cab / 6ft bed. 89k miles. Truck is in ok condition--but came from PA and it's the original suspension (new frame). The suspension is bouncing and the ride is harsh. Can I use a Gen. 3 takeoff suspension? If so, which part numbers work? If not, what's a good suspension for a slight lift at a decent price? The truck is basically used for home depot runs and I don't want to sink a ton of money into it. Thanks!

Yes you can! I used a 3rd gen trd offroad suspension and the ride improves. I made a write up if you are interested. I have a 2010 and did the swap a few months ago with 38k miles. I am super pleased. Decided to remove the sway bar as well and that makes a great improvement too!

05-15 suspension the same. I originally started with Bilstein 5100’s. They were a great cheap upgrade over stock. You can set the ride height in the front too
