I also live in California. The truck came from Utah prior. The orbital made ALL the difference in removing the ghosting from the original sticker and the Tacoma logos. When I initially pulled the stickers there was a ghost of the old decal, I tried hand buffing but that was a waste of time. Once I hit it with the orbital and some light compound the ghosting was gone. I followed up with a polish and then wax.

The irony for me is that I originally wanted a "ghost" look so I had the stickers made in silver. Now I have a permanent one... (unless I break out the orbital... maybe)

Give it time. The sun will fade it out. Mine did.
