    Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the roof top tent from cap-it?

So far from my research, most brands out there in like roofnest or other Canadian branded wedge styled RTTs look exactly the same but a different colored canvas and branding. This option from cap-it is cheaper and comes stock with cross bars.

Wondering if Alucab 3.1 RTT or Bush Company RTT is any better in durability? Honestly don't need their fancy wiring or power outlets etc, but double canvas seems to be appealing.

    TIA.

I hate to be this guy but I've never found Cap-It specific products to be terribly good. My highrise Bulldog cap isn't amazing quality and I recognize that. Windows get stuck, latches are garbage, rear hatch window is extremely poorly aligned and the weather sealing all around is questionable at best.

For the price (before sale) I'd buy a Tepui hard top or shell out the cash for Alucab.

Also… I don’t “want” to be “this guy” but… Cap-it kinda sucks as a dealer too. So it’s a double kick in the sourpatch in many ways.

No experience with them, but looking at the picture I just can't help but wonder about the way they're displaying their tent on top of a bunch of boxes with "This End Up" stickers...

I've had better luck with our Cap-It than I have with our NSOR distributor, but our Cap-It has a terrible space and can't do big projects like Raven Truck (NSOR) can. I'd imagine anywhere you go you'll run into one or the other for service vs install.

@TacoPacific I was looking about picking up an rld rack through them. Is that a bad idea? Cheaper than buying in Washington.

Well... things are a little less "weird-mental" than they were when I ordered as the "pandemic" isn't effecting the market the same way.

I think it depends on the location that you use... at least that seems to be the thread of variance I have seen.
