What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

If I recall, the 701s weight the same as the 705s, or at least close. I really liked the idea of the "bead grip tech" they mention on those two wheels. So I bought em. Lol

I've definitely had some times where I thought I was going to debead my tire when I was aired down, but the bead grip tech works pretty damn well. I was honestly not expecting much, since when I was reading up on it, it sounded kinda gimmicky, but I have to say, I'm impressed with it. Obviously, it won't work as well as a normal Beadlock will, but it's pretty damn good for a LOT cheaper(and DOT legal)

 

Think he means like a bhlm. Where as you replaced with the pro ones.

 

Still digging this? Considering this over the hiline - prefer not cutting anything, which is the only appeal. Though, I think the lines look great with the pro grill. Also, do you know if this will fit the pro/TRD skid plate.

 

I guess you could go the alka seltzer route. Supposedly the explode, as they can’t burp. No poop after that.

I don't tend to like this color but you've done an outstanding job of making it look great - kudos!

 

I threw some tint on mine as well. Once I found the right shade I wanted.

 

A few weeks ago I had the taco washed/waxed/polished etc... The guy did such a great job on it, I had him come back and do a ceramic coating on the entire truck (He even did the windows, headlights, tail lights and rims). He cut me a deal on the ceramic because of the prior work he did.

Now my truck looks like a big-ass blue mirror. It's soooooooooo reflective.

 

Did mine as a prep for doing the same to the headlights and tail lights... then found out the hard way that the Toyota emblem and the aforementioned lights are in an entirely different class of PITA to tint. Actually gave up on the lights because I'll be selling the truck at the end of the summer and it's not worth the effort.

Wasn't a fan of this color until I saw this post. Great looking truck with the blacked out accents and blue logo. Enjoy the ceramic coat, too. Keeps it looking and feeling smoooooth

Is that on the 701's or the 701 HD's? Or both?

 

Both the 701 and the 701HD have the bead grip tech on them. I have the 701 in black. My rim size is 17x8.5 6x5.5. The 701HD only comes in 8 lug, and cost about twice as much as the normal 701’s do.
