2000 Forerunner diff

I have a rear diff from a '00 forerunner that I'm hoping to use to regear my '09 Taco. I'll enclose some pics. The casting has some different fins on it, but I'm hoping the guts are the same. TIA for any help. Cheers, Dave

I have a '96 4runner Elocker diff in my '14. That looks like a regular open 8" diff so as long as you have the 8" base/sr5 and not 8.4" sport diff in your taco you should be good to go.

I may be getting confused on 8" vs 8.4" because the 3rd gen base/sr5 trucks have an 8" diff. If that is an earlier 8.4" it should be a direct swap for your 8.4"
