Taco PRO Owners: Interested in a spring upgrade for front?

Thanks! When you say Pro coilovers do you mean the stock trd pro springs?

So the Eibach Pro Springs do not compensate for taco lean?

 

The compensation for the lean is built into the strut itself not the spring. Look at my picture I posted a little ways back and you will see one side has the bottom spring perch is 1/4 inch higher than the other side.

Awesome. Thanks. You guys are super helpful. Looking to order the Eibach TRD Pro springs, perhaps a Toytec AAL, and maybe some replacement needle bearings/bushing. Any brand in particular you recommend?

I had a 2019 Taco Trd Pro in black (pre-pandemic). Loved everything about it except the manual transmission. I bought it thinking I'd get used to it (coming from a stick shift mustang GT) but something about it was too clunky. So traded it for a slight profit for a 2021 Trd OR in Automatic. The Fox shocks are really really good. Huge fan of the valving. I was considering getting Kings 2.5 extended travel for this build but got an awesome deal on these 2021 TRD Pro shocks with only 1,500 miles on them (paid $1,000). This Eibach kit is dope as it essentially makes the TRD PRO Shock a solid 2 inch lift which is the ideal height/ride quality for this platform IMHO.

Yep the pro suspension is the perfect solution for these trucks. Its tuned for our trucks and not just a off the shelf item, they look good, and the lift is right in that sweet spot.

 

I hope more people post pix after they get these springs installed. Im on the fence with this one.

 

you added only one 1/4" spacer, despite the Fox shocks already accommodating for this (see earlier posts about this), and yet it's still level?

 

This looks really good! I just added a hybrid bumper and currently am running only westcotts spacer. How's the ride with the spacer and eibach? any vibrations? I've heard people experiencing vibrations while driving then needing to get new bushings. Thanks in advance.

i already had a 1 in. block in rear, with aftermarket fox front shocks adjusted to be level, so when i installed oem fox's with 1/4 in spacer BOTH sides with upgraded eibach springs,, at that point the front was 1 inch higher, so i took out 1 in. block and installed 2 in tapered block, truck sits level i will get some pics posted,

with a 1 in. block and just the eibach springs, no spacer, the front would probably be 1/2 in higher due to the 5 yr. old oem leafs.. thats my thinking, love the way it drives and looks..

I'm in a similar boat. I'd like to get the Eibach kit and run 285/75 tires but my wheels are 16X8 -20. Wondering if I can get away without a CMC. I don't mind some minor trimming but not brave enough for a CMC just yet lol.

 

yes i do, i need 285's next.. 265/70/17's now.. sits up pretty good now..

 

Haha, I've seen you post this picture a few places now - clearly a proud owner! Happy for you. Have you stretched out those fancy new UCAs? Lots of people are curious about them. Also, I think my truck now rides the same height as yours in the front, not sure if the latest Eibach spring upgrades work (i.e., would be a wash) for the '22s.

 

I'm in the same-ish boat (265/75/16). It looks great, but those 33s would likely look better....stuck on it looking great now, however, in relation to fuel economy and power. Let us know if/when you make the change.

 

these tires are E rated,, ive had both, E rated and Sl rated, 8-10 lbs differance and had almost no differance in gas mileage, 43 lb tire vs 52 lb tire hardly any differance.. always get 17-18 mpg no matter what...... north east pa roads, they suck big time....

 

I don't have any vibration issues. Ride feels same as stock to me lol. I drive pretty hard.. removed sway bar as well.

Apples and oranges. In fact, folks will pair the two.

Those are two different things, too. No you don’t need to replace your UCAs or chop anything. Mixed response, but some say you’ll need to trim some plastic off to prevent rubbing.

Looks like you’ve been a member for a few years, so you must have some thick skin to be asking questions with such uncertainty about even terminology here on TW!
