    Hi Everyone,

Just picked up my first truck ever, a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB in Lunar Rock with a black/cement fabric interior.

First off, the GF named it Grogu, she said the color reminded her of baby Yoda. Grogu will be a pavement queen, I have no plans to take it off road. It was purchased because I outgrew my SUV.

I wanted no dealer options but it did come with the all weather mats and sill plates.

Today, with 39 miles on it, I started doing some minor mods to it.

Here is how it looked fresh off the lot.

The first thing I did was add mudflaps I picked up off Amazon. I gotta say these fit perfectly for being an off brand. Why mudflaps if I'm not taking it off road? Road rocks and debris. I'd like to keep this as clean as possible.

After the mudflaps, I was able to install some bed lights I also picked up off Amazon. Gotta say they do help a lot and way cheaper than the brand name. I wanted these because I plan on installing a Tonneau cover very soon (it's on the way).

I'll admit I told myself I wasn't going to do much to it when I put the deposit down several weeks ago. I definitely feel the urge to customize it to my liking. With that said, I applied new raised inserts to the tailgate. I really like this look. It will go with the black emblem overlays I ordered today.

The DIY mod writeup section on this site is awesome, I got so many ideas. The first one was the AC drain extension. So I did that today also (I think I'm gonna redo the placement at a later day though).

After that, I decided to remove the TRD bed stickers. I really feel like the stickers are out of place, especially with the color vehicle I picked. I took those off today also. I'll admit I wasn't mentally prepared for how long this would take. The driver's side took me 10 minutes, the passenger side almost 3 hours and I still have some minor residue I get to scrub or polish off tomorrow.

Took it today to a detail shop and had them polish the areas where I removed the stickers, it worked great. Took them 20 minutes and cost me $30, well worth it knowing that there is no more residue.

And I just got my black emblem overlays in. I think it looks much better than chrome.

Finally got the Tyger roll up Tonneau cover today (it got lost in shipping). Install was super easy!

Went online looking for a cargo box that could be moved back and forth in the bed of the truck and hold tote boxes against the cab side of the bed and didn't want to pay $170 for it. So I build my own for $35.

Ha, I just found your thread... My wife has named mine a Grogu edition (Kids are certainly happy with calling it baby Yoda) as well!
