You wouldn't likely even know about the form in general...plus lowers don't count unless your state has a different law about it

My Dad was a very smart man he was in WWII and the Korean War he told me one time "you never want to have less ammo than anyone shooting toward you."

Shot my No.4 Mk1* Enfield for the first time today and managed to push it out to 600 yards with irons. I'm pretty happy with that.

The optic needs to move to the top of the carry handle, and it needs a better light. The optic mount is on the way I just need to figure out how to afford a Malkoff/Arisaka combo.

After that? 20k rounds of barrel and bolt wear lol.

You have 20k rounds through it or you want to put 20k through it?

I want to put 20k through it. The base rifle only has about 200.

So, I got lucky today. I met with a guy from Ferro Concepts - that I had no idea was based out of Flathead near me - and we got to shooting the shit. Well, not shooting, but it's coming up. I'm excited to get the opportunity to shoot with these guys. I've seen so much about their gear online over the past couple years and I never even knew they were in my backyard... or I'm in theirs... either way, same team bro ;)

It'll be nice to break the "dynamic entry" habits the Army taught me and learn some good stuff. The topic of room clearing came up somehow and that was the first thing that came to my mind. I've seen over the past couple years a lot of innovative techniques on slicing and "hybrid" entries - and practiced none. Some of the guys I've shot with in the past are more drill oriented and competition shooters. I can't wait to get in the ring with these guys and soak up everything they throw at me like a sponge. I've never really seen anything outside of their gear, but I like it and the guy I met with today seemed pretty genuine. I'll gladly take them up on the offer to shoot.

Still no news on my can :(

Non-SOF training in urban fighting, IS indeed pretty horrible. It’s like most infantry training and leadership didn’t learn anything from Iraq, as if running into a room where a bunch of guys are pointing guns at the door wasn't a horrible idea.

What you’re talking about is modified Israeli method which is actually the gold standard for cqb. It’s still a horrible idea to enter a threshold as just 1 person but if using a 2 man Israeli, you can do a good pie slice, and then there you can do the stupid button hooks or crosses to make entry and hit hard corners where as 99% of said threshold is known clear. In more practical and real world environments, you’ll have to negotiate furniture, overheads and small spaces too.

Sounds like it should be good training.

In search of shotgun primers. Anyone have a link to some that's NOT a scam company. Thanks.

Good luck. The only primers that I've been able to find online are price gouged. Like $100 for what you could buy for $29 2 years ago.

If you have a Bass Pro, Cabelas, or Academy near by, keep an eye on their shelves. They will still sell at decent cost, but the go quickly.

Yep. Seems ammo shelves are quietly becoming bare again.
