Water spots from rain.

So how you guys clean or wipe the waterspots after it rained. And it dried. Glass and paint????

 

Wash it.

 

Most good quality washes will remove them.

 

If they do not come off after a wash, try a clay bar. I have used

this water spot remover before when I had some bad water spots that I ignored for a while.

 

Water spots from a tap is one thing, if you're getting water spots from the sky there is no solution aside from constant washing.

 

What can I do beside washing it. Cause no time right now lol...

If you coat your whip with vaseline it wont get any water spots

 

Get some of that exterior detailer stuff, its what I use between washes

 

Water and Vinegar mixed is a good for cleaning water spots from Glass. Google it for the mix amount.

 

quik detailer or a spray wax works wonders on water spots

 

Rain is how I was my truck.

 

I usually mix some quick wax with DI water [or water from the RO] and white vinegar.

1 part water
1 part vinegar
2 part spray wax

Quick spray down and wipe after a wash if the waterspots are still bad after the wash.

 

Chemical guys makes some good stuff. Some people may say otherwise but I like it

This mixture will remove water spots, but you can use straight white vinegar and then finish off with spray wax after if the water spots are really baked on there.

 

Window and paint or only windows???

 

I've used it on the windshield and gel coat of fiberglass boats for years. Never had any issues with it. I also use it on cars [paint and glass] for when theres extra stubborn water spots.

 

Pure rain water is soft and has no calcium, magnesium, or other minerals that dry and create a film. Rain will pick up dust on the way down if it’s a short storm which will make the paint dirty. You have no choice but to wash it with detergent to lift the dirt. I have a black truck and it’s never been permanently stained by rain.
