Hey... looking for any suggestions on how to get the coil electrical connector plugged back in to the coil for the drivers side sparkplug closest to the radiator. There's not much room as the wiring harnesses is jammed up against the bottom of what I think is the air manifold. I've changed all the others and will get back at it tomorrow so at suggestions would be great. Also, made the mistake of removing the bolt on the opposite side of the coil bolt on the first plug I changed. I replaced it but was wondering what it was for and if I need to be concerned.....thanks

The one opposite is a valve cover bolt.
As long as you tightened it back up, you should be fine.

As for the connector, I can’t help.
I’d have to go out and pop the hood and see first.
When I did mine I know I didn’t have any problems.
I bet it’s something simple, step back and take another look.

Or unbolt the coil, it should give you some room to wiggle and connect the plug?
    Then bolt it back down.

Basically, plug in the coil, then seat the coil on the plug.

I did my plugs not too long ago. I think most of them, during removal I removed the bolt, twisted slightly, then removed the connector. Installing snapped the connector in, twist and installed the bolt.

Sometimes connectors will have little parts inside that pop out. Little plastic retainers, rubber waterproofing thing. Take a good look at both halves, make sure nothing half way out in the way. Also make sure none of the male pin pieces are bent.

I just did mine last month. I definitely tightened the coil bolt down then snapped the connector on. I didn’t do anything too tricky. Maybe try a small screwdriver under it to line it up and then push it on.

I'll second removing the coil bolt. I had trouble removing one of the connectors on the passenger side and it allowed me to rotate the coil a bit so I had a little more room to slide it off. Go easy/gentle with the connectors: the plastic on your truck is 17 years old now.

Hey... just wanted to say thanks for all of the feedback and suggestions. Like it frequently happens, things looked clearer in the morning. I was able to get the connector on by working it over the top and by making room by pushing the wiring harness back. I thought I would share pictures of the sparkplugs as I've never seen plugs this worn down. As you can see the electrodes are worn down into the sparkplug body. Just for fun i measured the gap and it was .090 or more than twice the suggested gap. I'm wondering if they have ever been changed since there's 3 ngk and 3 denso which is how they came from the factory. It has 203,000 miles on it. I bought the truck a few weeks ago and drove it 60 miles home and probably another 30 around town and it actually ran ok. Of course now it runs great in comparison.... thanks again

    Yes they are.

OP, if you wonder how we know
It’s because there are 2 different plug brands.
3 of one and 3 of the other

203k miles on the original plugs. Wow.

Believe it or not, I’ve seen worse. With the side electrode completely worn off.
