2021 Tacoma off road 7k miles. Since day one, when i 1st start truck and engage brake pedal to go into D or R once i release pedal to start moving there is release sound that comes from inside the cab behind the brake pedal. Sounds like a click release, have talked to other guys with 21 off roads and they don’t hear it. What is that sound? I’m guessing something with ABS? Thanks

Possibly the switch that engages the ignition? I have never noticed it in my 21 OR

I’m not sure, it’s a release sound. I have a video but it won’t let me post it here.

I have a noise also and my truck is a 2016, it is a spring noise so I am guessing the spring moves and causes a small noise. It’s been too cold to look at it

    "STOCK"..... ;)
Mine had the same thing. Add some Mobile 220 red grease to the plastic part on the shaft. It will l go away.
Does it gradually come on out get louder the more times you are on the brakes? If So, the lubrication grease gets "used" up as you drive and is why it gets louder.

Never mind. I misread the post. It's probably the brake light switch off the pedal.
