Touch screen on radio sometimes doesn't work

Okay so I did search and didn't find really anything. I bought a 2017 Tacoma non JBL but with Nav last weekend. When I test drove it nothing on the touch screen worked. Knobs and the steering wheel buttons worked. I buy the truck and when I go out to show the salesman it worked fine. We had a snowstorm friday so work was cancelled and the truck sat for a day. Drove to the shop(work) and it was the same thing. Shut the truck off, restarted it... Fine. Anyone else have this issue? The dealer (toyota dealer) made note of it on the purchase and sales agreement. I can't imagine this is normal.

 

Not normal but until they replicate there's nothing they can do.

 

At the dealer sitting for the weekend now. Hopefully it does it on Monday. Driving a new Rav4 for the weekend.

 

When you get the truck back, you may try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes to see if it has an effect. Also, wipe all personal data from the previous owner in the head unit should set it back to factory fresh.

 

Mine is brand new and sometimes doesn't work so.....
