You are a rich college student. I had a hard time affording beer at the bar.

I tend to agree in theory and as a general principle, except that my recent personal experience is that I use my my locker often (probably often when I don’t actually need it) and the two times with my current truck I’ve been so stuck that my locker, traction boards, etc. could not get me out, a winch would have only been useful one of those times.

I think I will still end up getting a winch at some point, but I also kind of worry that if I had one that I would get myself into all sorts of trouble thinking the winch can get me out. :)

I use my locker once in a while, but I’ve actually saved my truck and helped out some friends in trouble with my winch. I’d say winch first. 50% of the time the locker doesn’t really make the huge difference you think it might. It helps get you through, but rarely gets you unstuck.

Lockers are nice, But when lockers get you high centered you will need the winch or a buddy to pull you out. I vote for winch.
