Yup, definitely chromed plastic covers over aluminum. Mine have held up well so far but I also don't use them in the winter. I've seen how the salt destroys chromed aluminum rims so perhaps Toyota figured the chromed plastic would stand up better in the lands of salt and brine.

    Cheers

Yeah I was pretty sure they were. I looked at a Limited back when these were new, I think it was the refresh in 2011 and remember thinking "plastic hubcaps...thats not good". I bought a Limited 4Runner instead.

You’ll find tire choices to be more limited when you go with the Limited’s chrome clad 18” rims.

I have these rims on my 2013 Limited DCLB. Pretty sure they are 18x7, 0mm offset.

The plastic chrome has held up perfectly, even in salty Northeast winters now.

I like the 18" rim for road driving. very good steering and cornering. I often think about painting them black though. I might eventually.

I just sold my 2022 Limited 18" take offs and they took a while for them to sell locally too!
I think as other stated, Limited trim isn't very popular so the supply for take offs are pretty low..
I suggest keep looking around your area's FB marketplace, OfferUp, etc. until you come across another Limited owner like me lol.

Here is what my 2022 Limited wheels were; chrome theme still on point lol
