Looking to upgrade my tires from 265/70r16 GY Ultra Terrains to 265/70r17 either Falken Wildpeak AT3w or Cooper Rugged Trek.
I do need a decent tire to drive on snow covered roads but also have the capability to take me to those backcountry wild places in CO and other western states for hunting and fly fishing.
Any experience with those 2 tires?

Finally had warm enough weather, and patience, to put on my seat covers. Id give their fit a 95% score, they will settle in to their shape as i sit on them im sure. But i like them better on the seats than when i opened the box and took them out.
Not an easy install imo. My arms look like i was fighting with a large cat now that ive finished.

    Just getting started.
Finished my weekend mods by adding Matt Gecko's fantastic LED under hood lights (too bright right now to take a picture), replace the chrome grill surround with the black one (Toyota Part #52711-04010), @ACEkraut 's low profile plate bracket (was told my plates were finally mailed to me on Thursday, so great timing), and installed the UpTop full height TRUSS bed rack (still need to add the eX Alpha cap, maybe this week if I have time after work).

All in all a productive weekend.

Ugh, finally. Two weekends wiring, cutting, and bolting and here we are. Don't have a winch yet so I guess whenever I get one I'll have to do it all over again, but looks pretty slick even without it. And haven't installed my other lights yet, but that should be relatively simple. I'm glad my hacking, soldering, crimping, heat-gunning of the wiring harnesses and the various terminals for my relays and fuse box worked; when I first turned on the truck and hit the switch, the light bar lit up and then immediately died. FUCK! But then I realized for some reason the fuse I had installed for the ditch lights (I thought 3A would be enough based on Diode Dynamics paperwork) had blown, probably because it is a single dual switch so they are somehow linked together. Regardless, replaced it with a 15A and it works fine now. Hopefully that won't be a problem though, maybe try a 5 or 10A.

The RCI sliders come up a bit short. I'm looking to replace mine, I'm thinking Wescott as they've got some nice sliders.

    Enough for now
eBay, ship from China, took two weeks to arrive. The fit is alright not great, I had to make some adjustments with electrical tape to cover up some white on the back part that shows through.
