One big reason people forget (even here) that the Patriots were in contention so long is that TFB routinely took less than market value in order to let the team build elsewhere. Pretty sure at least once he also renegotiated to take less as well.

 

Seattle gets Drew Lock, Noah Fant, Shelby Harris, 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and a fifth. Denver also gets back a fourth.

I'm assuming they back loaded that deal. They were 40 million over so not sure how much that helped, plus they franchise tagged Adams. They are gonna be hurting

 

I feel like Denver lost in most of this. Seattle definitely lost with Lock but those picks, Harris and Fant are good pick ups

8 years of suffering comes to a end with Russ pulling up stakes. A list of pros and cons:

pros:
-No more fucking churchy, corny Mr Unlimited shit so I can stop cringing every time he opens his mouth
-No more drama from the prima Donna- seems like every year now it’s trade talk, contract dispute, complaining about getting hit too much. He’s more insecure than a girl whose dad left mom for a 20 year hooters waitress
-We might win a playoff game without the #1 defense and run game in the league
-If he does anything less than win a super bowl, the whole deal is a bust for the ponies.

Negatives
-all our other teams suck if you don’t count kicky-ball, bye bye any and all cred we had in the national sporting press (though that’s been gone a while)
-Pete will be in a wheelchair with those sun blocker safety glasses and a large sun visor by time a rebuild pays off
-We haven’t had too good a history in the draft the last 5 years, can you really trust Schneider and Carroll to catch lightning in a bottle again?

 

Carroll is gonna need a bigger pack of gum.

I read an article last year talking about trading Russ and DK for like 5 1st round picks then turning them into 10 2nd and 3rd round pics then draft a new o line and secondary, let them play together for 3 years, go get your RB and d line in free agency.

You know, pretty much a duplicate of 2010-2013, but not a bad idea really
