I just bought a 2008 that was rolled over. It runs perfect and is mechanically in great condition. My first project is to fix the roof damage, any ideas on how to fix or just suggestions that would help? Thank you.

If i were going to fix that, I'd look for an intact cab at a salvage yard and go from there.

    Uh. o_O :duh:

    Get another cab?

I don't know how'd you fix that. Cut the top off, build a cage and have an offroader?

I'm interested in what others suggest.

I see doors, fenders and even 2nd Gen truck beds on Craigslist and Facebook market place often enough. I’m no expert but if you’re able to hammer (sitting in it and hammering towards the sky) that roof back into relatively decent shape, piecing the rest back together shouldn’t be a problem.
Good luck and welcome aboard matey:thumbsup:

That’s what I was thinking of doing. I’m just worried about the roof are for now so I can put a windshield on. The rest is easy work. But this roof

Didn’t mean to get at you, just been noticing people lately not putting location when it’s relevant. No biggie.

The biggest issue is getting the doors to seal properly. The windshield is easy, use more glue. A bottle jack, hammer and dolly, and beer will fix most of the dents.

    I'd swap cabs though.

If you’re able to piece the rest back together, which shouldn’t be too hard with where you’re located, maybe consider having a shop do the roof and windshield and you the rest.

The roof panel isn’t really the problem. The a-pillars, structure between them and the structure between the a and b pillars are your issue. You aren’t gonna hammer those back into place. At least not for anything street-worthy. Get a new cab. I can’t imagine it making sense to try and fix that.

I'd want a windshield at a minimum. bugs at 60+ mph can be painful.

But it looks like the roof did its job and protected you... or whoever was in the truck. Good luck with a fix.
