My 2020 DCLB with the premium package is going in for it's 15000 km check. Got a call and an email from the dealer stating I could get a 2022 SR and it wouldn't cost me a cent. Dealer made a follow up and told me what a great deal it was. I proceeded to tell him that I could get $45000 for my truck. It has 11000 miles on it. He said his offer was just a starting point and we could talk. NO THANKS !!!!! .He also said he could get me whatever truck I wanted no problem and they will not have them on their lots anymore just order them. BULLSHIT I SAY !!!!!

Been offered twice by the dealership for my truck when it was in for service. Every tech always watches when I come to pick her up so I think they like the builds for resale. I have almost 60k miles and could get what I left the lot for her still. Hard part would be the pricing to get back into another build, everything is so expensive.

I must be doing it wrong; I've been hands free in the big handicap stall with pants at my ankles for years. I don't have time for washing hands.

This is the reason I get snail mail about my vehicles "extended warranty".

Was this dealer also located in Nigeria?

How do you make sure outlet pressure doesn't create a runaway hose scenario which could end up spraying Mellow Yellow all over the place? Do you squeeze your legs together or what?

Tell them there’s a $10,000 market adjustment you’re putting on your trade. Then tell them to pound sand. I’d string them along for days. Sometimes I go on autotrader and contact the Toyota dealers in my area just for the fun of it to waste their time, they love hearing I have a Tacoma to trade. That’s how much I hate car salesman.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Taking your hatred of the general state of the car industry out on the people that have the least amount of say

And that work 70 hours a week just to make decent money to feed their families. To commissioned salespeople time is literally money. If you don't like them then just leave them alone instead of taking food from their kids.

I love my work, meeting new people every day and surrounding myself with an industry i grew up loving. I understand every line of work has its assholes but you’ve nailed it; I wish the market would go back to normal just as much as the next guy so I can go back to moving units, the people that are taking it out on the salesman is like taking out your frustration over rising gas prices on your local town mayor. If i don’t sell a certain amount of cars to reach a certain amount of commission every two weeks I literally owe money to the dealer. I get enough in-person shit as it is, don’t need somebody holding up my day by phone/email because they’re just as frustrated as I am.

Slightly going off on a tangent but talking about dealers joking around, was told I needed 4 wheel alignment on my Tacoma. I asked how do you do alignment on the back?
