hi, did you received a Brand new, clean One? I mean, no crooked tip, Markings of bolt on the holes And like chemical stain And hand markings from oil? Because I Just received mine 2 days ago But it Has All the things I mentioned And they Said Its new And Its like that When they Bought their materials there’s always a stain/molds from water. And the markings of the holes are from the imprint of the Stamping die they said. And those hand marking from oil is normal. I complained And they offered a $30 refund or replacement But I demanded a replacement And they said they Will Ship it When their next batch is done. Im kinda disappointed because im Not comfortable driving my taco without the shield yet.

I'm curious why you say that you would pick the catshield over the Talon. They both look like decent products, I'm leaning towards the Talon as it seems to also be a decent skid at 1/4" thick. Seems similar to , say, an RCI aluminum skid, but they don't have the extra cat protection.

Just got back from the muffler shop to fix the sliced piping. They told me the pro thieves go from the wheel well to cut the manifold.

Going to be installing the car shield later today

I just attempted to install the Talon Garage cover and it did not go well. I'm not sure if their quality control guy is out sick or what the story is, but the bolt holes don't line up, the cuts are sloppy with sharp edges... I would go elsewhere for a solution.

Shoot me a message and we can fix this. I have sold a fair number of these and you are one of the very few who have had any install issues.

OKay, reading all these cat-theft posts recently have made me kind of paranoid. I pulled the trigger and bought one, lead time: 5 days. (not bad?)

I’d give my vote for the talon… I have the talon and my friend has the cat security. The cat security feels flimsy compared to the talon. Someone else pointed the edges are sharp… they are sharp, but it didn’t bug me, I don’t really plan on ever touching it again.

I didn’t opt for the security hardware, I figure if a thief sees the plate he will just move on to the next car… I could be wrong. Just my three cents.

Sharp edges sounds like an extra security feature... anyone messing with it deserves a cut or two. ;)

I had the Cat Security plate installed last week. It's a very thick gauge material. Before it was installed, for shits-n-giggles, I placed it on 2x4's and stood on it. Then I bounced. It didn't bend or even flex. Now, I know this isn't a great scientific test, and I know it'll get bashed to hell when I offroad in my truck...but it will deter thieves and make it harder for them to cut.

hey, do you sell Just the Two small wings? I Just found about Your product a couple of weeks ago And I already purchased the Miller Brand Two months ago. So there’s no chance To return it. The Miller Doesn’t have the wings. So would you consider selling Just the wings?

RCI just came out with some wings that attach to their transmission skid if you happen to have RCI skids already. Not as much protection as some of these plates specifically designed with cat theft in-mind, but a good option if you already run the RCI skid plates.
