Truck starts but after short trip starts and dies. Only when cooler outside.

Hi. New to this forum…

4 times this year 08 Tacoma after short trip to run dog, it will start, but not keep running. I let it set an hour or so and will finally go but have to rev it. Has not happened in summer or warm weather. Take to dealer they can’t replicate and no code is present so I wondered what would be first thing to rule out? Thanks….KJ

 

Plugs…. air filter…. Throttle body is dirty
MAF sensor offs dirty
Those have to be very clean

And the smart guys will chirp in soon

 

Clean throttle body and check coolant temp sensor
