I have a 6, a 4, and a 1.5AH IIRC. All came with different tools. The 1.5 came with the discounted chainsaw my dad got me since the battery is the old Gen1 version.

Went to the Husqvarna store today. Oof! They had a 395xp 36” in stock, it’s a beast!

So did you buy it?

One crew I worked for in college one summer ran a Husky 3120 with a 48” bar… that was a wild saw. I never used it to cut, but had to start it a few times.

Edit. They still make it!:bowdown::drool: Only $1,909.99!

The saw was huge! My 435 is a toy in comparison. Don’t know if I can do it at $1350. Trying to find something cheaper but everybody loves that saw for milling.

Yep, looks like people have great things to say about them. Biggest thing about getting a Husqvarna saw is the resale value and warranty if need be but it’s hard to spend $1300. Back to researching!

I was walking around the property and it looks like this tree is ready to come down. Felling dead trees terrify me!

That's a mega poison ivy vine on it

Below is a standing dead tree that was leaning over my fence. I cable tied it and pulled tension on it and shook my cable HARD to make sure it wasnt going to fall when I was sawing it then backed tension off.

I should have pulled more from the left but I didn't have a good line or tree to tie to. Didnt hurt the fence as the tree was dust inside.

The tree face fell apart when I touched it with the saw and I quickly notched at it and made a small felling cut before backing off and pulling it down with the come along. If I had grabbed the cable instead of letting it go slack(duh) I probably would have kept it off the fence.

I take my Stihl MS170 with me when I go exploring. Haven't found a blow down I couldn't clear with it yet. Great for making firewood too. If we ever buy property in the woods, though, it'll need a bigger brother.

Found a brand new ms291 on FB, came with case, 2 new chains, new 20" bar, $350. Pairs nicely with the 170. The 291 is light-years better than the 290 I ran for years.

Welcome to the 291 club. I picked up a used one off FB Marketplace awhile back for $150. It's not new and pretty but it hauls the mail.

Used it today felling and bucking a 16" thick blackjack oak(24" at the base). Here it is compared to my old Poulan 2150.

I really wanted a 44 but didn't need a big saw, and prices on those are ridiculous. At least now if I feel I do need one I won't feel guilty about just getting a 66 instead

    Stihl 462, 362 and a msa140 for light work

    husky 562xp and a 535i xp.

I work in forestry and the li ion batteries do not like the cold.

hard to beat the quick reving husky IMO.

the 462 stihl cuts firewood with ease.

I've got an ms440 and I rarely use it. Its just so dang heave compared to my 026. I have to really be getting into some big stuff if I'm busting that thing out.

Here's a little more saw pr0n of the MS 291 chewing on that blackjack oak. Those rounds were every bit of 50lbs/ft. Almost broke me down lifting them off the loader bucket on to the woodpile. Super dense and hard wood.
