i cant tell on the teeth but the whole blade side is off so i assume the teeth are also. One side is flush. Hard to get a good pic.

 

Yea.. throw that in the trash and try a different blade... the Diablo blades sold at Home Depot are made by Freud.. I'm sure others have their own favorites.

 

Built ins on both sides of French doors to sun porch.
Used cabinet uppers for the bottom and built the upper shelves from 3/4" birch plywood. Had Lowes cut the plywood 4X8 sheets to approximate dimensions then cut to final size on my portable table saw.

 

I wonder about those... It tells you the blade is at a 45, but relative to what? It doesn't mean it's 45 to the table surface, which is what you want, right? I know I'm missing something because they are popular and must work.

 

I like and appreciate the built in receptacles! I did the same with our bookcases and two of the cabinets in our master bathroom. Those are good for charging shaver, toothbrush and for the other half's hair drier, which no longer resides on the counter with it's 8 foot long cord strewn about.

 

You zero it out each time you use it to whatever reference you want to use.

 

This is exactly right - it's zeroed out on the table saw or the miter saw or whatever you're using. then you can tell if the blade is 90 or 45 or 30 or whatever vs the table

 

does it have a taper in it? check it with calipers.

I thought about Harbor Freight for one, but find there are others for less and are name brand. Klein has one that's about 30% less. Go figure

I have a Harbor Freight one but I don't recall paying that much for it... maybe my memory is wrong.. either way they work well

 

I have the Klein one from HD, and I’ve been very happy with it.

I’ve had to change the battery once in the last 2 or 3 years? Like, it seemed to last an acceptably long amount of time, but our perception of time is so out of whack now that who knows.

I like it! I may have missed it, what kind of woods are you using? Also been curious on what people typically finish cutting boards with that's food safe and easy to wash. Seems like every google search for "beginner woodworking ideas" has a cutting board listed at the very top, but I've never dared to give it a shot.

 

I use a product called Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and their Wood Wax for Cutting Boards.
