Welcome from the south lands of California!!

I've had my Toyota for a year and am loving the hell out of it as well. Of the trucks I've ever driven (haven't owned any truck aside from my yoda) the Tacoma is definitely top of the line in all aspects; It's not too large so it can fit in many places, it's powerful, dependable and definitely capable and turns like a car.

    Again- welcome!

Congradulations! You made the right choice, you're smarter than everybody else for getting rid of your gas guzzler full size chevy and getting the Tacoma.
I just got rid of a 2011 Ford F250 and got a new 2011 Tacoma and I am the happiest guy in the world cause I am saving money on gas and my monthly payment, I was going broke owning the F250 by paying $100 a week for gas and making that $650 per month loan payment, with my Tacoma its now $40 a week in gas and $400 month payment.
You did good, gas prices are going up, feel sorry for your freinds when they lie to you saying their full size pickup gets 20 mpg, just tell them you don't have to lie about what gas mileage you get with your Tacoma.

Congrats on the Truck!! Are you sure its an 11, the pic looks like it has the 10 grill, but it could just be the angle. Anyway, 10 or 11 good move. I dump my Hemi Ram for this, Im loving it at the pumps now.

Yeah I'm sure its a 2011 :) and man I feel ya on that. My truck payment is 200 bucks a month cheaper and cheaper on gas. This is an awesome truck. I don't miss the Chevy at all! I was in the exact same boat and apparently I still am :) I couldn't be happier.

About the same story here,I had a 05 Ford F150 4x4 supercrew 5.4 and was getting 10-12 mpg.. It was a nice truck but the gas milage was killing me .I went to the Toy. dealership and they let me bring a Tacoma home to see if it would pull my Bassboat .I pulled it ,its not overpowered on the hills but I'll be fine..

that was pretty awesome of them to let you do that. one of the first things i did when i got home was hook my trailer up to it to see how it did. the trailer i have is heavy duty expanded metal and its freakin heavy as hell. the truck did just fine with it though. i was a little worried about that but i was impressed :) the trailer is actually still hooked up in the pic lol
