Yeah, you're right. I didn't see the angle at first. Still curious about how that happened.

This is what I use to pull new stud through when you get to that point. I would recommend getting a few regular lug nuts to pull your new studs through because sometimes the threads wear pulling new studs and you don’t want to mess up new studs. Hopefully you can pull them through without having to pull axle and press new ones in although I know this is supposedly the proper way.

Agree with drilling. Find a bit the same diameter as the studs, including threads. I'd put a couple of wood wedges between wheel and lugnut to keep it from spinning and use plenty of cutting oil. You got lucky that it's an open ended nut and not one of the acorn style.

No. I did this. I do most of the work on my truck.
I have to cool little printout that someone made with all the basic sizes and torque specs.

It must have. I guess there is a small chance I over tightened it. But I’ve been stuff on this truck since I owned it.

It looks like the whole is stripped.
Should I leave out the stud? Seems like I’d end up with the same issue. upload_2022-3-12_17-45-23.jpgupload_2022-3-12_17-45-23.jpg

May be best to get an axle out of a junkyard.

That plate you're seeing behind the lug flange is the oil absorbing disk and fibre ring.

Otherwise a few weld tacks on the back of the stud or you might be able to find some oversized base studs I imagine those have to exist for this exact reason.

Check with or call ARP I'll bet they got something.

Glad you got it off but too bad you had to damage your wheel. You could try to get a stud with a little bigger flange where splines are like Key-Rei said as long as the stud is the same length and thread size. Also remember the hole the stud goes through is bigger than stud shaft so it can be a little deceiving it’s just the part that has the splines that matters. Could leave it out but if it were me I would want all six since that’s what it came with. Good luck

That sucks.. I dont have time for all that. How big of a risk is it just use 5 lugs? I have to drive it that way for now.

I have other rims.. Thats the least of my concern.

5 lugs are fine. As long as the other stud holes arent wallowed out, dont even think twice about it. Check copart for a used shaft, but be prepared to do a new wheel bearing on it.

Your luck sounds like mine. Start off doing something that should be simple and turns into big project
