You should see the lights he has on his house.

 

Lots of motion lights, lots of cameras all sent through my phone to my watch. It turns into a beeping and buzzing party if someone walks near it at night. That and I've got security hardware on everything.

 

Any real action yet? Fastenal security hardware ought to do the trick I guess since ordering something custom requires getting a huge number of pieces.

 

Check out McMaster carr too. They have an amazing hardware selection, some proprietary to them.

Nah I had someone taking a bunch of pictures of it one day that kind of freaked me out. I found one site that did "small" custom orders if you called them. I think I ordered 20 pieces with 2 keys if I remember correctly. That was the lowest count he would go and they cost about $4 or $5 a piece. I seem to remember it costing about $200 for all the hardware for all my lights which I figured was a good investment.

 

$200 is less than 10% of purchase cost for me so it seems like a solid tradeoff, even moreso for you I suspect.

If you recall the name of the website you used I'd be happy to check it out for myself.

 

Hey Rome, I was thinking of getting a similar roof setup as yours. Prinsu rack with 7 Baja pods on top. How's the noise on that setup? Sorry if it has been answered. Thanks!

 

It’s not horrible. It’s not good either. I sound proofed my roof after and it made a huge difference. I’d say don’t let it stop you but keep in mind it’ll make a difference
