Memorial Patch for Rick "Unchained 5150"

@Taco critter came up with the great idea to see if a Patch can be created in Rick's honor and the proceeds go to his family. This thread has been started to see what interest is out there for this, ideas of designs, and if any companies or members that make patches would be willing to take on the task.

Well everyone we have a winner,......actually "Winners". Yes folks we will be making both of these. So many people contacted me about wanting both of these that a decision has been made to move forward with both of them. I will be working with the maker, collecting data on the amount we will be ordering, and we will be setting up a link on his website for you to order directly. The website link will not be up and running until all of the patches have been made and ready to ship. They can take up to 3 weeks to be made and ready to ship. Even though all of the proceeds will be going to the family, we also want to make these affordable for the masses and will not be charging more than usual profit mark up ( even though all the profit goes to the family). We will be fully transparent on the cost of the patch, cost of packaging and shipping, taxes, any possible fees, and how much of the money of each patch will be going to the family. Once the link goes up. Tell your friends, family, 4x4 buddies on Facebook, neighbors...whoever to run and buy one or both. If we run out....more will be made if the demand is there. A separate thread will be started with the link to buy each of them and I will tag everyone that posted in this thread to send them to the link.

All great ideas! Let's see if we can get some of these ideas on a drawing and upload them here. Please keep in mind that the more detailed the patch, the more it will cost to make and cost the buyer. We have focus on "clean, simple, and something that screams Rick both in his love for that Tacoma, VH, and guitars.

I like that idea EVH Frankenstein Guitar but instead of red have the body be 4Q2 Toyota Gold with the stripes being Red Orange Yellow heritage stripes like his trucks.

I think that's subtle clean and fitting like his trucks.

Maybe with EVH angel wings coming off it if that's not too much.

What's an average patch run about $12?

I think $25 is fair, cover the work overhead and shipping for the patch maker and then the rest goes to Unchained's family?

I would like to keep the cost to the buyer to be around $10-12. Then the more patches we sell the better. Most people who love patches might pay $25 for a patch but a lot of normal people might not. Like I said, we should keep it simple but keep it "Rick". The more we order, the lower the cost to make.
