I have a 14 tacoma and just had the clutch replaced a few days ago. I was changing the oil and looked up and seen this so I figured I would ask and see if they forgot to connect something.

Side question: at about 32-42 mph there is a clicking sound now on the passenger side as well. It's going back to the shop for this tomorrow for them to look at. Just thought I would pick your brains also.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Did they resurface the flywheel?

It is the breather for the Transmission / Transfer Case.
I really should crawl under and take a look how the 2 are vented.
That way when mine leaks, I know what one it is.

I’ve heard the 2 tie together and use the same breather.
But I can not confirm this.

I don’t think anyone said it’s the breather vent for the transmission yet.

Yeah, I guess I missed it.

I was actually headed out to look under my truck.
But then realized it wouldn’t do any good.
OP has a Manual Trans and mine is Auto.

it supposed to clip on the top of the bell housing. It’s breather for the transfer case. The breather for the trans is built into the housing itself.
