The main point many get hung up on is "what is the BEST oil". Fact is, pretty much any reputable oil will give the same longevity as long as OCI's are done when they should be. But there are many that get a warm and fuzzy using a "better" oil, whatever "better or best" means is up to the end users determination. Some weigh the cost/benefit as their deciding factor, while others simply want what the best within reason, I'm sure there is a boutique 0w16 that is $30 per qt for some reason that no one will buy. Supertech Synthetic oil has been a surprise to many that have tested it and is in the top 5 or so in many of it's viscosity variations. But I have not seen a VOA (Virgin Oil Analysis) or UOA (Used Oil Analysis) of 0w16 Supertech to say that it's as good as any other oil. Heck, there are very few 0w16 VOA or UOA's in general.

Referring to the info below, you'll see that M1 has far less Moly than TGMO. Not that moly is the only anti-wear additive that matters. But TGMO is higher in every category of measured anti-wear additives. It is speculated that M1 and TGMO use the same amount of PAO in it's base formula, but has not been confirmed. What that means is their base oils are likely extremely similar which negates one being superior due to it's base. But it does indicate that TGMO 0w16 is likely going to be more shear resistant and that TGMO is a more robust oil that will provide better lubrication/cleaning over the lifetime of the oil. But again, this all means nothing if the owner of any vehicle neglects OCI's on a regular basis...just like anything else in life.

Multiple 0w16 VOA - Pulled from this thread, though I'm don't now the validity since they did not post a source - https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/voa-on-0w16-oil.351783/
