I’d like to install the outlet panel below so that I can run my fridge off of it. I’d like to put it in the passenger side storage cubby.
How waterproof does this need to be? The cubby does get some mud and and dust in it. Can I leave all that out in the open?

I did this same set-up and did not do any waterproofing and it was fine... I am about to have a GFC style camper installed and decided to waterproof everything. That being said, I would just use some gorilla tape or flex tape and some silicone to fill the holes after you run the wires.

I agree. If you want it to last more than a couple seasons, it needs some water shielding.

Amazon sells waterproof plastic junction boxes of all sizes, which I use to house my trailer electronics. I'd recommend finding one that you can modify to mate with that panel.

    A bunch of junk
Try some dabs of silicone. I haven't done any water proofing to my bluesea panel and 0 issues.

Thanks! I ended up JB Plastic bonding the holes closed and cutting off the door hinge and knob. I put the outlet plate over the door and will find a way of closing it from the front face.

when I added 12v to my bed cubby I used zip tape, POM rivets, and some silicone to seal the various openings in the cubby, a firewall boot for the harness to pass through, and the panel face is sealed by either a bead of silicone or a makeshift gasket using zip tape or weatherstripping, (i can't remember what I did if anything to seal the face).

Have similar setup but mine is behind cubby door installed in one side of chamber. Badass. You can put a little bit of window or edge trim around cubby door seal and your g2g. Additionally you can dab silicone over back terminals. Also make sure all wires including jumpers are round 10awg or what is called for a fridge.

Did you wire that yourself, or did it come that way? If you want to waterproof the connectors themselves, practically every connector (including spade ones) has a "marine" equivalent. They're heat shrink and have a glue inside that seals them watertight when you do the shrink.
