I remember years ago one of the major news shows did a segment on people not yielding to emergency vehicles. Followed an ambulance, then interviewed a delivery driver who didn’t get out of the way, and made it obvious that he didn’t care.
They showed the tape to the company management and the guy was immediately out of a job.

 

When your a Commercial driver in this day and age being stupid is bound to have videos or pictures taken

My idea back in 1969 did not work as well.

In Burleson Texas I have seen them send a fire truck out on a nice day with lights flashing & police following a little ways behind him to ticket the the people that are to important to get out of the way. One of the few times I enjoy seeing a ticket issued

Of all the old cars sounds I miss, it’s the sound of the secondaries kicking in. Nothing like it.

Not pulling over for emergency vehicles is just one more example of the decline and fall of civility.

Morning crew. I conked out a little after 8 last night, before 9 anyways. Sounds early but when up before 4AM , not so much.
Running a little behind, had to fuel stop this morning...there's another small rant there but time for morning meeting.

 

I filled in the other end of the night for you. I WANTED to go to bed at 10:00 (dog had a vet appointment at 9:30pm) but my body decided 3:30am was good. 5:30 this morning hit hard. I hope that 2 hours was good.

 

My rant is about a Phillips 66 station. My credit card no longer works there, even got a new replacement card. I can use my debit card or a different credit card just fine but the machine they use tacks on an additional fee. So this AM I just wrote a check. Put my phone # on it, license #, then they wanted date of birth, and expiration date...the whole process took a extra 10 minutes of bs. I think the store must be just trying to make transactions less complicated for themselves. I get that. But I've also been doing business there for 17 years. Always pay my bills on time.
