    Is the Toyota stock ECU tunable? Thought a stand alone/piggyback like the UCON was needed?

    Yes, it is. He used OV Tune. You can also use HP Tuners.

    On that dyno run I did not have urd cam gears. I still need to install them if I am being honest. And as Torspd mentioned I was using ovtune but I have since switched to hptuners and had at @JustDSM tune my truck :)

    Latest addition, from @Athlaos . :thumbsup:

    Quote, "Updated dyno chart - changes since last time are Kelford camshafts, URD EL headers (replacing JBA long tubes), an additional AEM 500ml/min water/meth nozzle for the stage 2 system (ramps up with MAF reading), and some adjustments and/or fixing some issues that were causing over-richness at WOT.

    Unfortunately the AFR sensors weren't working so didn't get any data on that. Data logs do show they're OK though," end quote.



    Quote, "Here's the old chart; one other change that I didn't mention is I solved a lot of my belt slip too, which caused the boost to go from 12psi to 14psi (at WOT - boost is 15-16psi under partial throttle).

    Too bad we couldn't get a dyno of the PreRunner with the turbo kit that I built. Would be nice to see how that graph laid out. Oh well.

    That TQ curve is awesome 450 under 3k! Who says smaller pulleys don’t produce more power! Water/Meth injection does. Curious how much those camshafts helped out. Nice work @Athlaos That’s one of best dyno charts I’ve ever seen for TRD SC

    Looks like a Gen2.5 TRD Sport, but really an '08 TRD OffRoad
    TRD Supercharged / OTT Tuned
    2008 Tacoma V6 Supercharged with 2.85 pulley. Boost reading on dyno was 7.5psi.

    I showed up to the dyno shop with the RB solenoids installed already for the baseline pull. And swapped to the stock solenoids for the remainder. I did it this way so there wouldn't be any surprises with the install while at the dyno shop. I also use the Motorad low temp thermo and normal operating temps (ECT) are in the low 170s, which is pointed out below.

    ".........the dyno testing was performed with the Red Bullet solenoids tested FIRST (baseline). And then a break in action to R/R to the stock Toyota solenoids (~25 mins) before performing dyno pulls with the stock toyota solenoids. The BLUE and RED dyno pulls (curves) would be the most accurate in comparison since both runs were performed under a normal operating temperature range. The peak HP and TQ numbers don't matter as much as the delta between those numbers in each pull."

    Stock Solenoid: (HP/TQ) (Engine Coolant Temp and Intake Air Temp)
    BLUE CURVE : 283.68hp / 273.50tq (ECT 169F and IAT 68F)

    Red Bullet VVT-i solenoid:
    RED CURVE : 289.73hp / 286.87tq (ECT 174F and IAT 73F)

    @Athlaos would it be unwise to go small and not go meth or 7th injector? I like to keep it simple and want another 100hp at least... Awaiting your response..
