I have been been watching for Red deals since the HD double double sale got me started on Milwaukee. Not sure how much of a long-term pattern it is, but it seems the HD Special Buy of the day sale is always centered on tools on Mondays.

When she asks you to re-trim the entire house (baseboards, window and door casings, riser boards… I mean EVERYTHING) and your only condition is you get to buy tools for it.

It’s a 16 and an 18. The 16 is substantially larger diameter than the 18. I contemplated the 15 but a 16 is a great all around finish nailer for face nailing hardwood floors and nosings, riser boards, casings, and sills. 18 doesn’t have a lot of holding power for the stuff mentioned, but is great for super lightweight trim like LDF, putting a well-placed nail through a mitered joint, or mocking stuff up into drywall that you intend to rip off with one hand. 18’s are more common in fine wood working, but have their place when you aren’t using solid wood.

I have the 23, 18, and framer, was contemplating the 15 for hanging doors. Was just amazed at the size difference, thought it would be relatively close

Oh you mean tool size. Yeah the finish nailers, for some reason, are pretty gigantic. The difference in the finish (16) vs the brad (18) is basically the equivalent size difference of their pinner vs the brad nailer (18).

    Always a 15 for doors and 3/4" + material. 16 for 1/2" - 3/4" and 18 for most everything smaller.

It came in a non-marked box with all the manuals and was wrapped in plastic the same way that the Milwaukee wraps their "tool-only" tools. I was waiting to post to see if it came marked as refurbished but it doesn't appear to be....at least as far as I can tell.

I really want to get the M12 Fuel screwdriver but this one is pretty cheap so I bought it anyway.

I have it. I used it on my Jeep as it's usually parked pretty far from a power source. I'd say it's a nice-to-have tool but I prefer my soldering station for jobs that are easy to take into the garage to work on. I can see it being handy on the trail if you don't want to crimp butt connectors.

I wonder if you can search the s/n for date of production that’s how they mostly do the warranty. They also will not honor a non authorized sellers date of purchase receipt.

I’m not sure someone could ever really tell the difference in performance between the screwdrivers. I mean you’re turning what 500rpm? Why would you need brushless for that, but then reading the FUEL screwdriver is basically a low speed drill, 1750rpm with a 1/4 hex chuck??
