Does your horn work?, That's what the alarm uses.

The lock/unlock beeper is separate from the horn and is not the panic alarm.
The panic alarm uses the same horn as the vehicle horn that you honk by pressing the button on the steering wheel, that is the one I was asking about if it worked.

I'm not sure then, I know there's a setting to turn the lock/unlock beep on and off but I've never seen anything about a setting to mute/unmute the alarm sound on the factory alarm system.:notsure:

Try holding the button down for a few seconds. See if that works.

I found this online: maybe try a battery reset first to see if it re-enables it. If not maybe try this and see if it enables it.

SWITCHING BEEP SOUND ON AND OFF
You can switch the beep on and off. (The
beep is on initially and after battery replacement.)
To switch the beep on and off:
    With the driver’s door opened—
    1. Insert the ignition key and remove it.
    2. Within 5 seconds, insert the ignition
key again and turn it to the “ON” position.
    3. After 10 seconds, push the same
    “LOCK”, “UNLOCK” or “PANIC” switch
    twice within 10 seconds.
Two beep sounds inform you that the
program has been switched on or off.
If this procedure is not followed exactly,
the beep will not operate as expected.
Check the beep ON/OFF operation by
pushing the transmitter switch after you
finish this procedure. If the beep does not
operate as expected, repeat this procedure
    from step 1.
