Is the stainless work hardening?

So freaking tired

 

Just tiny end mill, and stainless. I don’t like stainless.

 

Substitute 4041? Maybe they won't notice?

 

Could you do the bulk of the cut with a slitting saw and just use the end mill to tweak the start and finish of the slot?

 

It’s not bad, I’ve done 20 slots already, only got a few more. Just got to feed it slow.

Grew up in AZ...didn't have to deal with DST until moving to NM and then TX. I think it's whack but what do I know...

REALLY slow; what's your depth of cut?

 

I’m taking it all, whatever the wall thickness is. Probably around .125”-150”

Who in the fuck needs new equipment when you can use a welding machine that’s 40 something years old and 6011 rod 30 years old and haven’t used it in 10 years and throw beads down like this.




I rewired the box last year so long leads to the winch



it works good. Now to disassemble and grind and clean and paint..

 

Took me a minute to realize that's a cab not a cover.

 

We always cheated by sticking MIG wire around the stud then pounding it in.

I know these are lug bolts, but we don't always have time for thread inserts.

Nobody cared if the hay wagon hub had 4 lug bolts and 1 lug nut.

 

Lol it sure as heck keeps the snow and wind off of you.
