    A local tax guy here stole a lot more during a scheme, somehow taking money from his business owning clients having taxes filed by him. He’s only getting 33 months.

    Comparing the two, the guy in your article is getting the raw deal.

    But putting it from a logistical standpoint, I rather have room in prison to keep out the more violent offenders. Generally you can keep yourself distanced from fraudsters by avoiding red flags.

    Sounds to me like he was doing the lord’s work keeping rotting tacos off the streets where they could be a danger to the motoring public
