    This morning's greeting for all the K-5 students (and parents dropping them off was "Are you ready for a Thrilling Thursday Hot Ham and Swiss Au gratin potatoes AND Saint Patrick's Day?" Saying that really fast to get it all out as the kids raced over the crosswalks was tiring. Tomorrow is "Free Dress Friday," usually the last Friday of the month, but that day is a teacher work day, so we're ahead. Yes, I can say I've worn a "free dress" at school, as our entire 5th and 6th grade class in Hawaii did to perform native dances and songs on May 1st. May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii... Many years later, I experienced Alaska Day in Sitka, October 18, "the day the check cleared," after another Alaska holiday, Seward's Day (the day the check was signed to purchase Russian America).
    Norsemen know St. Patrick's Day as the day the Norsemen departed Ireland, and the Irish rejoiced. Inventing lutefisk did not work, as the Norsemen responded with thanks and gratitude that the Irish cooked for them.
    Reminds me, I should copy the lyrics for the song, "Oh, Lutefisk" (sung to the tune of "Oh, Tannenbaum") for pastor Neal.
    Enjoy the day, and don't turn green! :broccoli: Oh, I forgot to say I stopped by North 40 after school this morning and hung out with the chicks! Yeah, barred rocks, buff orpingtons, and more. Found a set of Tamper Resistant Star Bit Sockets for $8.99 so I can tackle christian06's Anti Theft Device for the tailgate (and maybe get some air tool assistance from the NH Oil Undercoating dealer at the end of the month). Great day!
