Renewbie from Tetons

I'm sure I was a member of this forum many years ago, but cannot figure out my login info, so I created a new membership. I've had one Toyota truck after another for almost 40 years starting with a 1980's (4th gen) 4WD single cab long bed in red with the bulletproof 22r. It was the first new car I ever purchased from a dealer. Since then, I've owned pretty much every iteration of Tacoma except the current 3rd gen and in between, 3 different Tundras.

I sold the latest Tundra last year, and bought a 2013 TRD Sport DCLB in silver (silver or white being my color preferences) with about 80K on it. I was planning on buying a 3rd gen, but the tranny shifting issues people had reported made me wary. I commute over a steep pass, and didn't want the truck "searching" for the right gear. The Tundra was too heavy, and along with fuel economy, I was burning thru brakes descending.

So I finally own another Taco and I'm back in this forum because it's the only place to find reliable information on these trucks. My first upgrade will be the "Ultimate headlight mod" from Crashnburn80's excellent write-up! I need more candlepower on that pass, at night, in the snow, dodging moose! I've already ordered the parts so...it begins
